Major Revision - The NewsBoss Web Interface has undergone a major revision...(V6.9.8)
It is no longer necessary to use Internet Explorer to edit stories and it's no longer necessary to download and install the ActiveX story edit control when NewsBoss is updated on the server. In fact, Internet Explorer is no longer supported, and the Web Interface now requires an up-to-date modern browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
The Web Interface features a 'responsive' layout, designed to work on desktop computers, mobile devices and tablets.

Updated Story Notification Button - The story notification button on the NewsBoss/Prompter status bars now includes a button to show the latest 50 story notifications.
Pressing the up-arrow on the right side of the button will display the list from which a selection can be made, or pressing the main part of the button will show the latest story notification as before.
Also included in the notification text is the date/time of the story。
In NewsBoss, after logging in, the list is back-filled so the user can immediately see the latest 50 stories from notification queues. (V6.9.1)

NewsBoss
Story Flags - Stories can now be assigned up to 8 colored flags. The Flags column can be shown in a story list by right-clicking on the story list header and selecting Configure layout... from the context menu, and then checking the Flags option and saving.
If the Flags column is not shown in the story list, story Flags will be shown on the right side of the story Slug column.
To set one or more story Flags, select one or more stories and right-click on the selected stories Flags column, or select Flags... from the normal story list context menu, and then select or deselect the required Flag. Holding the Shift key down while making a selection will clear all current Flags and apply the selected Flag only.
Story Flags are saved to the Archive with the story, and the Archive may be searched for stories with matching Flags set.
Flags can be used to in any way desired within the newsroom. For example, the Red flag could be used to indicate Not Ready, and the Green flag could be used to indicate Ready. The meanings of the flags can be set by the NewsBoss Administrator in the Setup - Systems Options - Story Flags dialog.
NOTE: Once the meanings of story Flags is decided on, they should not normally be changed to different meanings, as the Flags meanings will apply to both new, old and archived stories. (V6.8r1.15)

Media Library Sets - Media Libraries can now be assigned to one or more Media Library Sets, allowing easy access to Media Libraries on sites using many libraries.

Improved Mouse Wheel Zoom - Mouse wheel zoom now by default zooms to the location of the mouse cursor. To zoom to the location

New Web Browser - NewsBoss now uses the Chromium web browser core. Each web browser tab uses a separate renderer Windows process, helping to
protect NewsBoss from web pages that previously could cause NewsBoss to crash. As each web page renderer operates in a different Windows process
memory in the NewsBoss is not consumed, another cause of NewsBoss crashing when too many web browser tabs were open.
The NewsBoss web browser features ad blocking, dangerous site blocking (phishing, malware, hijack and exploit sites),
pop-up blocking and image blocking. (V6.1)
Web Browser Address bar improvements
The address bar now also functions as a search entry field. Typing a valid url and pressing Enter will attempt navigation. If the url appears
to be not valid, the entered text is passed to Google search. Entering a ? at the start of the field forces a Google search even if the entered
text is a valid url.
The address bar also includes auto-complete based on previous navigation history.
When no text has been entered in the address bar, pressing Ctrl+Down-Arrow displays the full history list used for auto-complete.
Pressing Alt+Down-Arrow shows a list of previously typed urls for selection.

Improved Web Browser Integration - The new web browser has better integration with NewsBoss. For example, Media (images/audio) can be saved
directly into a suitable NewsBoss media library. Downloaded media items listed
on the Downloads page can open the downloaded media directly in NewsBoss. More features will be added in upcoming releases. (V6.1)
Media Preview Thumbnails - Click on a visual media item (PicID or VidID) to display a thumbnail view of the item. Buttons in the thumbnail provide Expand, Edit and AutoClip functions. (V6.1)
Improved layout persistence - Most resizable dialogs (Media Assets, Media Asset Manager, Futures, Contacts/Organizations,
Search Archive, Storm Information, Quick Messages, Keyword Monitor) now persist their size and position between sessions and between PCs. This allows users
